Can You Use Spray Paint On Fabric?
I had a sleeping problem a few nights ago, so I decided to check out this craft forum which I haven’t visited in months. As usual, there were a bunch of threads with people popping questions related to craft making, sewing, and stuff like that.
So, I noticed that nobody replied to this one person’s question which is, can you use spray paint on fabric? The next day, I decided to answer that question. And then, I figured hey, I should perform a public service and let other folks know what kind of spray paint is best for fabric, right here on this site.
That forum craft forum is always down, so linking to that thread might not be a good idea. Okay enough yakking…
Soooo…YES! You can use spray paint on fabric, just as long as it is WATER-BASED! And the best spray paint for fabric that’s water based can be seen below.

These are brilliant spray paint for fabric. There are other colors available such as Midnight Black, Navy Blue, Saddle Brown, etc, but I haven’t tried them yet. I’ve tried the above Burgundy and Brite Red, 6 bottles per pack, and the results were more than satisfactory.
Some of my cushions had faded pretty badly, so I sprayed them with the Brite Red pack, and now the cushions look almost as good as new. The burgundy pack was used on the small couch in my living room as well as my camping tent.
The spray made the couch look like brand new, although the trade-off is the fabric of the couch has turned a little on the rough side. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but figured I should share that little piece of info.
So if someone comes along and asks you what kind of spray paint is best for fabric, go ahead and recommend the following products. They did a pretty bang up job for me, so in my experience; they are the best spray paint for fabric. The colors are solid and they don’t emit nose-scrunching odor.
If you want to know what others have to say about the spray, just use the links below and you’re sorted. By the way, I purchased the spray cans online and got a pretty decent deal.

I recall when my neighbor Stuart invited me to his barbecue party, and I happened to notice that some of his outdoor furniture looked terribly worn out. The guy didn’t hesitate to ask me what kind of spray paint is best for fabric. He was really interested to know because he didn’t want to waste his money on a set of new outdoor furniture, unless it is absolutely necessary.
Stuart pressed on with the question, can you use spray paint on fabric of my furniture? I said, of course you can use it on your furniture, but better make sure it’s the best spray paint for fabric, otherwise your furniture might get spoilt, and we don’t want that to happen. Stuart was skeptical initially, but in the end, he went ahead and bought several packs of Camel Brown Simply Spray.
He spray painted all those worn out furniture and the end result was nothing short of fabulous. The worn out furniture looked a whole lot better thanks to the spray. Stuart is now a believer! He’s a hundred percent convinced that this is indeed, the best spray paint for fabric money can buy.
